Chappice Lake (CHP1) is a 14 MW solar asset located on approximately 160 acres of private land in Cypress County (35 KM north of Medicine Hat). It is comprised of both solar panels and batteries allows this asset to better match energy demand of the power grid. This is the first storage project in Alberta using a flow battery.
Chappice Lake is owned by Elemental Energy.
