AltaGas Harmattan (HMT1) is located at the Harmattan gas plant southeast of Sundre, Alberta. It is owned and operated by AltaGas Ltd. Three cogeneration units use natural gas to produce power, with a maximum capability of 45 MW. In this cogeneration asset, a heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) uses waste heat from the turbine exhaust gases to generate steam for gas processing.
