Strathcona (IOR4) is a 43 MW gas cogeneration asset that is located near the Strathcona refinary, and is owned by Imperial Oil. The electricity generated meets the lions share of the refinary's electricity demand, reducing the amount of electricity that it will buy from the grid. The waste heat is used to produce steam needed for refinary operations.
