Joffre #1 (JOF1) was commissioned in 2000. Located in Joffre, Alberta, this generating asset is jointly owned by Heartland Generation Ltd., Capital Power, and NOVA Chemicals. This plant is a cogeneration plant that supplies steam to the nearby NOVA Chemicals processing plant. This asset consists of two gas turbine generators (GTGs), two heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs), and a single steam turbine generator (STG). It has a listed maximum capability of 474 MW.
