Poplar Creek (SCR5) is a natural gas cogeneration asset; it is located north of Fort McMurray, Alberta. This plant was commissioned in 2001. It is currently owned by TransAlta, with power generation contracted to Suncor. The maximum capability of this asset is 376 MW.
