Firebag (SCR6) is one of several generating assets owned by Suncor. It is located northeast of Fort McMurray, Alberta. Heat produced in this cogeneration operation is used for other plant processes, including steam generation for SAGD. AESO lists Firebag's maximum capability as 497 MW.
