Taylor Hydro (TAY1) is began operations in the year 2000. This hydro facility uses a horizontal Andritz Kaplan turbine and has a maximum capability of 14 MW. Located near on the Jensen Reservoir near the town of Magrath, Alberta, it diverts water from the Waterton St. Mary Headworks irrigation canal system. As a result, it only operates during the irrigation season (from April to October). It is owned and operated by TransAlta.
