Poplar Hill #1 (PH1) is a simple-cycle natural gas asset; it is owned and operated by Heartland Generation Ltd. It was commissioned in 1998. The GE LM6000 gas turbine and generator package provides a maximum capability of 48 MW. It is located northwest of Grande Prairie, Alberta.
