Sheerness Generating Station is co-owned by TransAlta and Heartland Generation, and operated by Heartland Generation. It is located south of Hanna, Alberta. This asset has a maximum capability of 400 MW.
There are two separate grid connected assets at this facility (SH1 and SH2). Each consists of one boiler, a turbine, and a generator. These assets are fueled by coal from the nearby Sheerness coal mine.
