Windrise (WRW1) has a maximum capacity of 207 MW and is comprised of 43 Siemens-GamesA 4.8-145 turbines. It is located on private farmland in the Municipal District of Willow Creek, 29km south of Fort Macleod.
This asset was brought online in 2021 after being one of the successful proponents in the Renewable Energy Program (Round 3) process in the fall of 2018.
Windrise is owned by Windrise Wind LP, a subsidiary of TransAlta Corporation.
