Valley View 2 (VVW2) is a natural gas plant with a maximum capability of 50 MW. It is located at the Valleyview Generating Station, south of Valleyview, Alberta. Is owned and operated by Heartland Generation Ltd.
There are two separate AESO assets at this facility:
Valley View 1 (VVW1) is a GE LM 6000 gas turbine generator (GTG), which was commissioned in 2001.
Valley View 2 (VVW2) is a GE LM 6000 gas turbine generator (GTG), which was commissioned in 2008.
